In her artistic work, berlin based artist Marie Lempelius (*Berlin) is primarily concerned with the intrinsic life of images, automated processes and the operative image. She pursues an artistic-research approach and uses moving images, photogrammetry, coding and 360° cameras, among other things, to explore the image in a poetic way and question its authorship. For example, Marie Lempelius embarks on an endless search through artificial landscapes and visual worlds, develops a media theory of the pigeon or questions the truth of the image. Process-based work plays a major role in her artistic exploration and the way in which she approaches various themes.
